Heating
As per the Healthy Homes Standards, the acceptable types of heating are as follows:
- Heat Pumps
- Closed Wood Burner
- Flued Gas Fire
- Panel Heater – Only for areas that require less than 2.4kW of heat.

If you are looking to meet the Healthy Homes Standards, we recommend you use the Heating Assessment Tool provided by the RTA to obtain the required capacity – as the ambient outdoor temperature as required by the RTA calculator varies with location and also factors the heat loss in a different formulation.
